E-Mail Account Setup - SmarterMail Professional

Congratulations on getting your new, professional e-mail addresses! The instructions below will explain how to:

  1. Login and change your password (for regular users).
  2. Set up Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express to check your new e-mail addresses (all users).

NOTE: These instructions are for web design clients of Topsail Consulting using the new SmarterMail Professional webmail system. Instructions for iMail will be posted soon; if you use iMail and are having problems, please contact us.

 

Changing Your Password

  1. Open your browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Netscape...) and go to mail.yourdomain.com
     
  2. You will see a screen that look like this (click for bigger picture):

     
  3. Enter your username and password to login.
     
  4. On the next screen, in the "Config" menu, click on "My Settings" (click for bigger picture).

     
  5. On the next screen, next to "Password," click the "Change" button (click for bigger picture).

     
  6. Enter your new password, then re-enter it for confirmation (click for bigger picture).

     
  7. Click "Save" (see above picture).
     
  8. Your password has been changed; you will need to change it in any e-mail clients you use, such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. See below for instructions.
