E-Mail Account Setup - SmarterMail Professional
Congratulations on getting your new, professional e-mail addresses! The instructions below will explain how to:
- Login and change your password (for regular users).
- Set up Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express to check your new e-mail addresses (all users).
You may also want to read our guides to administering your new mail SmarterMail Professional server (for administrative users) or troubleshooting e-mail problems on our servers (all users).
NOTE: These instructions are for web design clients of Topsail Consulting using the new SmarterMail Professional webmail system. Instructions for iMail will be posted soon; if you use iMail and are having problems, please contact us.
Changing Your Password
- Open your browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Netscape...) and go to mail.yourdomain.com
- You will see a screen that look like this (click for bigger picture):

- Enter your username and password to login.
- On the next screen, in the "Config" menu, click on "My Settings" (click for bigger picture).

- On the next screen, next to "Password," click the "Change" button (click for bigger picture).

- Enter your new password, then re-enter it for confirmation (click for bigger picture).

- Click "Save" (see above picture).
- Your password has been changed; you will need to change it in any e-mail clients you use, such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. See below for instructions.
